What He Left Behind

His Legacy

The work he did, the people he helped, and the things he's still remembered for.

His Life's Work

What people remember him for

Education

Primary certificate in 1974, School Leaving Certificate in 1976, Chartered Banker in 1994, Master's degree in 1998. He had to fight poverty for every one of them.

Honesty at Work

When a sitting governor gave him a questionable instruction, he refused and reported it. Fraudsters once tried to implicate him, and his careful records cleared his name. His staff trusted him enough to warn him when people were plotting against him.

Community

He gave families credit so they could finish building their homes. He helped bring the Osun State Block Makers Association together, and he kept the accounts for several associations at once, often working late into the night.

Faith

Every morning at 6:30 the bell rang and the family gathered to pray and read the Bible. He kept this up for decades. He also started morning devotions at his bank branches.
